Using the project management tool

Sponsor Match is focused on providing management tools that help Sponsors and Sponsees ensure transparency and accountability. Follow the step-by-step instructions below to setup and manage your projects.

Step 1: Create a Private Group

The Project Management Tool uses the Groupsfeature to create a private project managementspace visible only to members of the group. See instructions and screenshots below.

    1. Select “Groups” from the left-hand navigation
    2. Once on the Groups page, select “Create a Group”
    3. The “Create A New Group” form will open. Complete steps 1. Details, 2. Settings and 6. Invitees.You can add a photo and cover photo if you wouldlike but the other steps are not necessary for using the Project Management Tool.
    4. Make sure to select “This is a hidden group” in the Privacy Options section of Settings otherwise your group and project dashboard will be accessible by all Sponsor Match Community members.
      Complete the rest of step 2. Settings and select Next Step. You can fill out steps 4 & 5 if you would like to add a photo and cover photo otherwise continue to select Next Step until you get to step 6.
    5. Select the members that you would like to have access to your project management dashboard. You can use the search bar to find members or  scroll through the list of members and select the  “plus” sign to the right of the members name. You can customize a message to each member or bulk message everyone you are inviting. NOTE: Members must be invited to the group and  accept the invite before they can have access to the group’s project management dashboard.
    6. Once your group is created, select “Groups” from the left-hand navigation and you will see your new groupon your dashboard.

Step 2: Setting Up Your Project

  1. Select the group that you created from your “Groups” dashboard. Once inside the group you will see a second navigation menu on the left specifically for the group.
  2. Select “Projects” to go to the Project Management dashboard. Here you will see all of the projects for your group. To start a new project, select the “New Project” button inside the dashboard.
  3. The “Start a new project” form will open. Enter thename of your project and a description. If you wouldlike to notify others in your group you can select the “Notify Co-Workers.” Then select “Add New Project.”
  4. Your new project will be visible in the Project Manager of your group.

Step 3: Setting & Assigning Tasks

  1. You can set tasks individually or create a Task Lists and add multiple tasks to the Task List.
  2. Once you create a task you can add members, set duedates, create subtasks, etc by clicking on the task titleto bring up the Task box.
  3. There are several options for viewing the tasksand progress within your project.
    – Task List
    – Kanban Board
    – Overview
    – Gantt Chart
  4. In addition to tasks and progress tools the ProjectManagement tool also provides space for Discussions, Milestones and File Management.
  5. If you have multiple groups with projectsyou can access all of your projects from the main left-hand navigation by selecting “Project Manager”.
